With the upcoming election we need our membership to impress upon the community how important it is to get out and vote. August 3rd (5-7) Roger Reinert is asking the police union to walk with him and Duluth Fire 101 at the Spirit Valley Days Parade. I understand that most of you live outside the city of Duluth and cannot vote this coming election.  However, your city administration effects the way you police, your wages, your family's healthcare, your retirement and the equipment you utilize everyday. This mayoral race AND council race is extremely important. If you don't know the potential candidates that would sit in our council and choose NOT to fund our department you need to know. We are on a precipice unlike no other. Some of the ways we can help our endorsed candidates become elected is by getting out and showing our support. Whether it be door knocking, delivering signs, walking in the parade, having conversations with people who have no idea what is at stake. If you are willing to walk in the parade please text Kerry at 218-391-1644. She will need names and T-shirt sizes for each individual.
